Road Trip Photos, Day Four [adrotate group=\”6\”] Green River, UT to Cortez, CO Started off the day in one of Butch Cassidy\’s old haunts, Green River, UT. We then headed over to Moab and Arches National Park. Beautiful place, and very photogenic. After several hours there we decided to head to CO. On the way we found a turnoff for Canyonlands National Park. I had never heard of it before, but I have an annual pass for all the national parks, so a detour was made. Definitely looked like Indian country. Majestic. We ended up in Cortez, CO and had …
Four national parks in two and a half days. I do not know how to describe Arches National Park without sounding like the same thing I have thought about the others Tanya and I have visited lately. I have a new found respect for Utah. Day 105 of Project 365.
Day Three Road Trip Photos [adrotate group=\”6\”] Zion to Bryce to Green River, UT Woke up a few hundred yards from the entrance of Zion National Park, so we had to return. Tanya, Buddy and I walked along a river for a while, then drove through Zion to the other end. We decided to go to Arches National Park, but had to detour to Bryce Canyon first. This included the Dixie Forest and Red Canyon since they were on the way. Truly beautiful. We then headed towards Arches, but I-70 is so amazing, we had to stop and take more …
Road trips should be fun, but the fact of the matter is that if your traveling companions are not fun to be with, the road trip will suck. Fortunately, this is not an issue for me. Day 104 of my daily photo log, Project 365, is a photo of my two favorite companions.
Road Trip, Day Two [adrotate group=\”6\”] Las Vegas, NV to Zion National Park Day two of our road trip began in Las Vegas, NV. The drive on I-15 North, as you leave NV takes you into the Virgin River Gorge, which is pretty amazing. I have driven it several times, but this is the first time I was able to get photos of the place. After a late lunch in St. George, UT we headed into Springdale which is where one of the entrances to Zion National Park. One visit there and you have to imagine what the first settlers …
Day two of the road trip. Only drove about 150 miles, but saw some amazing scenery in that time. Day 103 of Project 365 is a photo of me overlooking Hurricane, UT.
Road Trip, Day One Photos [adrotate group=\”6\”] Los Angeles To Las Vegas The best road trips are those that have no destination, and that is what we are doing. Since we have no time schedule, it did not really matter that we got a late start. So, we spent the first night in Vegas. [adrotate group=\”1\”]
This is going to be fun. I have my girl, I have my dog, and I have my laptop. Oh yeah, I have my camera too. Okay, three of them. I plan on taking some amazing photos by the time I get home. Day 102 of my daily photo log, Project 365.
Sure, there were lots of WWII artifacts, including tanks, bazookas and machine guns, but what I was really looking for was the rattlesnakes. Unfortunately, none were to be found. Day 101 of my daily photo journal, Project 365.
